Regional Food Group

What projects are we doing, as the regional food group for the Highlands?

The Highland Good Food Partnership: Your Regional Food Group for the Highlands

Since 2021, the Highland Good Food Partnership (HGFP) has been honoured to be the Regional Food Group (RFG) for the Highlands. We work to champion sustainable growth, local connections, and a thriving food culture.

As the Highlands’ RFG, our key initiatives include:

  • The FEAST Project: Aiming to inspire hospitality businesses to feature locally sourced menu items, bringing Highland flavours to the forefront. See our Black Isle FEAST page here.
  • Local Producers Food and Drink Trail: In collaboration with Visit Inverness Loch Ness, we are creating an immersive trail that highlights the region’s best local food and drink producers.
  • Regenerative Agriculture Network: Partnering with Highland farmers, this initiative supports sustainable practices, encouraging a resilient agricultural community.

Together, these projects are building a stronger local food economy, linking producers to Scottish markets, and fostering a vibrant, sustainable food ecosystem across the Highlands.

If you are interested in being involved in any of these projects, then you can become a member here or contact us at hello@highlandgoodfood.scot

“Why I Buy Local…” short films series

We’re shining a light on the incredible businesses across the Inverness area who are championing local produce in their menus and offerings. Sharing stories that we hope will inspire others to look a little closer to home when thinking about suppliers. From local honey to wild venison, we want to celebrate it all!

If you are a local food business, and want to find out about local producers in your area, visit our Local Producers page here, and complete the contact form.
